The East Montgomery County Improvement District announced the winners of the East Texas Fire & Ice Festival Video Contest at the Board of Directors regular meeting, held Thursday, February 25. Local high school and college students were asked to shoot and edit a one-minute video of the Fire & Ice Festival January 9 at Texan Drive Stadium, capturing the spirit of the festival.
First place and a $500 scholarship will be awarded to Kaylee Bailey, a junior at New Caney High School. Second place and a $250 scholarship will be awarded to Nurul Rafi, a sophomore at New Caney High School. Finally, third place and a $100 scholarship will be awarded to Kaymon Freeman, also a sophomore at New Caney High School.
