Improvement District

Improvement District

A driver of economic development in the eastern half of Montgomery County, the East Montgomery County Improvement District utilizes the revenue collected each year through a $.01 – $.015 sales tax to recruit and incentivize retail, commercial, and industrial businesses to locate or expand within the boundaries of the district. EMCID has the ability to structure Incentive packages in a custom way to fit your company’s needs and help make your decision much easier to select East Montgomery County as the place to do business. We have no one-size-fits-all programs, because we realize no two businesses are alike. For additional financial options, EMCID will team up with its non-profit subsidiary, the East Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation, for loan assistance.

Cash or non-cash options from EMCID may include:

  • Cash
  • Lease – Purchase Options
  • Tax Abatement
  • Land Donation to be utilized as equity in your project in return for jobs being created
  • Equity Participation
  • Professional Construction Assistance/Participation in Site Development Costs
  • Assistance in Bonding Capability
  • Workforce Training Assistance
