To provide more seating at local parks and city buildings, the East Montgomery County Improvement District donated picnic tables to cities within its boundaries.
EMCID donated picnic tables to Patton Village, Roman Forest, Splendora, and Woodbranch Village. The cities chose to place the tables in convenient locations for those watching children play on playground equipment or visitors at city hall for council meetings or business.
“We are very appreciative of this donation from EMCID,” said Woodbranch Village Mayor Mike Tyson. “The picnic benches are a great addition for our city since we have people who attend our council meetings and will use them when we are in closed session.”
The city of Splendora set a bench outside of the Splendora Police Department to provide a place for officers to sit during lunchtime or after work and an additional bench outside of city hall.
