As a 35 year resident of East Montgomery County, Scott Hesson is the former founder and owner of Video Scout Recruiting Service and was responsible for helping high school athletes of East Montgomery County obtain more than $2 million in athletic scholarships in the mid-1990s, an accomplishment that was featured in the Houston Chronicle. Scott is a 25 year employee for United Parcel Service and has serviced East County for all of those 25 years. He has also coached youth sports in East County for 27 years.
Active in the community, Scott served on the New Caney I.S.D. Board of Trustees and as a founding Director for the New Caney I.S.D. Education Foundation. He is a member of Teamsters Local 988, D.R.I.V.E. (Democratic, Republic, Independent, Voter Education Committee), and East Montgomery County Concerned Citizens. Scott has also served on various facility studies and site based committees.
He has been married to his wife Carol for 30 years and has 4 children and 2 grandsons. Scott and his family are members of Second Baptist Church and attend the North Campus.
Scott was elected to Position 5 in 2014. His term expires in 2018.
